Welcome to CFB Fantasy ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our fantasy football platform. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access or use our service.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. We use OAuth providers (Google) for authentication, which means we do not store your passwords. Your authentication credentials are securely managed by these third-party providers.
If you turn on notifications, your browser creates a push subscription and we store it so we can send you reminders. That subscription contains a unique endpoint URL provided by your browser vendor (Google, Mozilla or Apple), two encryption keys your browser generates for that device, your browser's user-agent string, and your time zone. We also store the time your device last opened the app, which is what tells us whether to send an occasional check-in.
Message contents are encrypted in your browser's own keys before they leave our server, so the push service that relays them cannot read them. We keep a log of which reminders we have sent you — the type and a deduplication key only, never the message text — so that a retry cannot notify you twice.
Turning notifications off in Settings deletes the subscription. We also delete it automatically if your browser reports it as expired.
We use a single secure, HTTP-only cookie for sign-in, managed by NextAuth.js. We do not use advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies.
The app also stores small preferences in your browser's local storage that never reach our servers: whether you dismissed the install or notification prompts, which in-app reminders you have read, and when your device last checked in. Clearing your browser data removes all of it.
If you install the app to your home screen, a service worker caches the app's own files so it can open offline. It is written to never cache API responses, so no league, roster or account data is stored in that cache.
We collect information about how you interact with the platform — your team selections, roster changes, draft picks and watchlist. We do not use third-party analytics or behavioural tracking.

While games are being played we also read publicly available scoreboards and box scores from ESPN, so live scores and fantasy points update during the games rather than only after they finish.
Both are read-only integrations: we request public sports data and never send them any information about you. All data obtained is used solely for providing fantasy projections, statistics and team management. We do not redistribute or resell it. Both are third-party services, and their terms of service and privacy policies apply to the data they provide.
To deliver notifications we hand an encrypted message to the push service your browser nominates — Google (Chrome, Edge, Android), Mozilla (Firefox) or Apple (Safari, iOS). They can see that a message was sent to your device; they cannot read it.
